With its rich history and culture, beautiful scenery with views of the mountains AND beautiful beach, Belize should be at the top of your bucket list. And at Palma D’Oro we want to be the ones to host you. Belize, formerly known as British Honduras, was granted its independence from Great Britain in 1981. You’ll find Belize just south of Mexico, while also bordering Guatemala.
The country is English speaking, which makes traveling even easier! You will find that the locals are extremely friendly, and the tourism is hot! Come ready to spend your money on everything from handmade jewelry using the best local seashells to the country’s very own hot sauce – “Marie Sharps”! The Belizean currency is pegged to the US dollar at the standard rate of $2 BZ to $1 US.
Speaking of hot, depending on when you’re coming you will always want to bring your swimsuit. Be aware, though, that the rainy season is from June-November. However, it is typically scattered showers and not always the entire day. We can’t wait to see you there!
